Story Clarification A story titled “Cost an Obstacle to Wider Use of Green Certification Systems” in the July 10 issue of SPFA’s weekly newsletter incorrectly reported that approximately 46% of Southern Pine producers do not plan to seek a certification system for their products any time soon. In actuality, almost 39% of the Southern Pine producers who responded to SFPA’s certification survey already use a chain-of-custody certification system; and almost 85% of the remaining respondents plan to pursue a certification system at some point in the future. Of that group, 7.7% plan to pursue a system immediately, 30.8% within six months to a year and 46.2% will wait more than a year. Click here for a release with more information about the survey. |
