EXPO 2009 Exhibit Packets in the Mail Exhibitors can expect to see a kit with everything they need to know about signing up for EXPO 2009 in the mail over the next week or two. “We anticipate a great show in 2009,” said EXPO Director Eric Gee. “We will return to New Orleans for the first time since 1991, and the city is looking better than ever.”
SFPA is also introducing a new priority rating system this year that allows exhibiting companies to receive points for booth size at EXPO 2007, SFPA membership and participation in EXPO since 1995. SFPA Associate members enjoy priority exhibit space selection, advance hotel reservations and expanded listings in the show program. If you’re interested in exhibiting and don’t receive the 2009 exhibit sales packet by Feb. 17, please notify Eric at 504/443-4464, ext. 214, or by e-mail at egee@sfpa.org. For more information about the priority rating system and to download an SFPA Associate membership application, visit www.sfpaexpo.com/exhibit. |

Locating sources for Southern Pine products was another topic of interest. Distributors and builders from California and a few from Hawaii expressed interest as did buyers from international locations ranging from Honduras to China. “We are working with these buyers to help them locate producing members of the Southern Pine Council to fill their orders,” Russell said. “Now is a good time for Southern Pine producers to be looking offshore for business.” |
